Trusted Home now available for cable operators

Irdeto and Minim have pre-integrated their Trusted Home solution into Motorola branded cable modems and routers, making it available to cable operators of all sizes worldwide.

The first Trusted Home pre-integrated CPE to be made available is the Motorola MH7022, a whole home Wi-Fi system that includes one Wi-Fi Router and one Wi-Fi Satellite for fast internet speeds and reliable coverage of over 500 sq meters. The built-in AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi technology delivers a powerful signal to multiple connected devices so that subscribers can enjoy simultaneous 4K streaming, online gaming, work from home and much more.

“New revenue streams and happier customers are a powerful combination provided through our Trusted Home-powered Motorola branded cable gateways,” said Minim CEO Gray Chynoweth. “We’re proud to extend our partnership with the Irdeto team to bring this intelligent hardware solution to the market for operators to more effectively and efficiently support the smart home.”

Trusted Home is an AI-driven Wi-Fi management and security platform created by partners Irdeto and Minim and designed to equip operators with greater in-home network visibility and remote troubleshooting capabilities. Customers also get access to a self-care mobile app for optimising and personalising their home internet experience with parental controls, privacy settings, ad blocking, security alerts, speed tests and more.

The partners say Trusted Home helps operators boost their customer satisfaction and retention while increasing ARPU and lowering support costs by as much as 50%.

Steeve Huin, CMO at Irdeto said the recent merger between Minim and Zoom Telephonics opened a great opportunity to expand the offering to the broadband industry.

Irdeto protects over 6 billion devices and applications. It says it’s leveraging its unique heritage to help telecoms firms build “a secure future where people can embrace connectivity without fear”. Minim delivers software-driven communications products under the Motorola brand, including personalised and secure WiFi experiences which they say lead to “happy and safe homes where things just work”.

The combination of Irdeto’s and Minim’s capabilities delivers a compelling offering in the CCAPS space. What we particularly like about this offering is the customer-centricity of the offer, with both partners focused on delivering what customers truly need – a safe and enjoyable connected experience that’s easy to manage and personalise. One of the things that sets them apart though from other players is Irdeto’s heritage in the media industry – including support for video entertainment and gaming offers – which adds an extra dimension for multi-service operators looking to grow their CCAPS offering to fully cover connected work, life and play.
